Good morning!
Midweek blues? Not on our watch.
Today, we’re diving into two stories that are making noise for very different reasons.
First up, another YouTuber with shady links to Pakistan has surfaced, raising fresh concerns about content, influence, and cross-border narratives.
Then, the best stocks to invest in right now, handpicked with technical insights and market logic.
Let’s get into it.👇
📌 Another YouTuber, Jasbir Singh, gets linked to Pak Army officials
A major spy network with alleged terror links has been busted in Punjab, with YouTuber Jasbir Singh emerging as a key figure.
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav revealed that Jasbir, who runs the YouTube channel ‘Jaan Mahal,’ was in close contact with Haryana-based vlogger Jyoti Malhotra, who is already arrested for espionage, and a former Pakistani High Commission official, Ehsan-ur-Rahim (alias Danish). Jasbir also allegedly met Pakistani Army officials during a 2023 Pakistan National Day event in Delhi.
Investigations show Jasbir visited Pakistan thrice in 2020, 2021, and 2024, and his devices contained several Pakistan-based numbers, now under forensic scrutiny. Following Malhotra's arrest, Jasbir tried wiping out digital traces of his connections with the Pakistanis to evade capture.
The network includes PIO Shakir alias Jutt Randhawa, further linking Jasbir to a broader terror-backed espionage operation. An FIR has been filed by the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC), and further investigation is underway to identify all collaborators and dismantle the entire network.
The revelations are part of a growing list of cross-border espionage cases that exploit digital platforms like YouTube for covert communication and propaganda. The authorities have assured that no angle will be left unexamined in this ongoing probe.
📌 Kashmir is getting its first-ever direct train!
On June 6, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the first Vande Bharat Express to Kashmir, connecting Katra to Baramulla. This marks the completion of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL), a ₹43,000 crore mega-project nearly three decades in the making.
The most challenging part? The 111-km Katra-Banihal stretch, built through some of India’s toughest terrain, with 97 km of tunnels and 7 km of bridges, including the world’s highest railway arch over the Chenab and the country’s first cable-stayed Anji Khad bridge.
Trains will now run from Jammu all the way to north Kashmir, revolutionizing connectivity for the region. While travelers from Delhi still need to switch trains at Katra for now, they can book a single ticket for the journey. Security will be tight, with multiple frisking and luggage checks at transfer points.
The Kashmir-specific Vande Bharat is also climate-ready, equipped to handle sub-zero temperatures.
📌 Stocks you should invest in today…
Yesterday was a rough day for Dalal Street as both the Sensex and Nifty extended their losing streaks for a third straight session.
The Sensex dropped 636 points to close at 80,737.51, while the Nifty fell 174 points, settling at 24,542.50. With foreign capital pulling out and valuation concerns rising, the mood stayed firmly bearish across the board.
But in the middle of the market mayhem, Raja Venkatraman of NeoTrader pointed out a few stock-specific opportunities.
NFL is showing upward momentum, having broken past resistance near ₹100. If it holds above ₹102.50, targets of ₹114-117 could be in sight with a stop loss at ₹99.
COCHINSHIP, a key defence player, has seen renewed interest amid geopolitical buzz. Strong volumes and breakout patterns support a buy-on-dips strategy around ₹1970, with targets of ₹2185-2240 and a stop loss at ₹1950.
TCIEXP is another one to watch. After months of decline, May brought a reversal, helped by solid earnings. A buy above ₹805, with dips to ₹780, targets ₹880-900 in the short term. Stop loss: ₹760.
