Happy Friday!
Today’s update is about a startup doing something refreshingly simple: hiring smart people, paying them well, and not asking for a degree.
If you’re looking for a remote internship, or know someone who is, this might be worth sharing.
What’s the opportunity?
Puch AI, a startup working to make artificial intelligence more accessible to everyone in India, has announced two remote internship openings:
Artificial Intelligence Engineering Intern
Growth Magician
The internships are fully remote, so you can work from anywhere. The stipend ranges from ₹1 lakh to ₹2 lakh per month, depending on the role and the candidate’s fit.
Yes, you read that right. ₹1–2 lakh. As an intern.
Check it out here.
The announcement came from Siddharth Bhatia, co-founder and CEO of Puch AI, via X (formerly Twitter). The roles are open now, and the application process is as straightforward as it gets.
No degree? Not a problem.
What sets this opportunity apart is the fact that you don’t need a formal degree to apply.
Bhatia even wrote,
“We hired a high schooler last month.”
This isn't just a token line. Puch AI is actively hiring based on skill, not certificates. If you’re a self-taught coder, someone who’s been experimenting with AI models, or you’ve grown a project from scratch, you’re the kind of person they want to hear from.
It’s a refreshing change from the usual “minimum qualification required” culture we’re used to.
Here’s how you can apply:

Leave a comment explaining:
Why you should be selected
What excites you about working at Puch AI
There are no forms or email applications.
Just post a comment: thoughtful, clear, and honest.
One important note: DMs will not be considered. The application has to be public, via a comment.
There’s a referral bonus too
If you know someone who fits either role, you can tag them in the same post.
Here’s the cool part:
“If they’re hired, you win an iPhone!” Bhatia wrote.
You can tag one person per comment, and if they’re selected, the iPhone is yours. So whether you’re applying or referring, there’s something in it for you.
So, what is Puch AI?
Puch AI is a startup co-founded by:
Siddharth Bhatia, an alumnus of the National University of Singapore (NUS)
Arjit Jain, a graduate of IIT Bombay
Their vision is to build AI tools that work for all Indians, regardless of language, technical skills, or educational background.
They’re focused on accessibility, not just in interface design, but in who they hire, how they build products, and who their tools serve.
Thinking of applying?
Even if you’re unsure, it’s worth putting yourself out there.
Commenting on founder posts like this is a good way to get noticed, even if you’re not selected.
You’ll be surprised how often people from the thread circle back later for other roles, freelance gigs, or collabs.
And if you’ve got a friend who’s been quietly working on AI or helping brands grow online, tag them. You might just get them a job, and yourself a phone.
