YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia Goes To Supreme Court
Aka "BeerBiceps," has moved the Supreme Court seeking relief from multiple FIRs filed over controversial remarks on the now-deleted reality show India’s Got Latent.
His petition, filed through lawyer Abhinav Chandrachud, requests clubbing of FIRs and anticipatory bail, fearing arrest by Guwahati police.
The Supreme Court declined an urgent hearing. The remarks, deemed obscene, led to outrage, police action, and a parliamentary discussion on social media regulations.
Assam police have summoned Allahbadia, comedian Samay Raina, and others involved in the show.
Apoorva Mukhija gets slammed again
She is facing backlash for her crass language on India’s Got Latent.
Amid the controversy, her past remarks about Bengaluru resurfaced, adding to the outrage.
In a 2024 interview, she said, “I hated, hated living in that city… it has no soul.” She criticized Bengaluru’s work culture, stating, “Everyone is working 14 hours in a startup.”

📌 Startup Story
This startup is helping medics secure opportunities abroad
Lanstitut started in 2022 with a simple mission: help Indian healthcare professionals land better jobs abroad.
Founded by Khubaib Abdul Salam, Abdul Vajid K, Murshid Ibinu Rahman, and Yasin Bin Saleem, they saw the struggles of nurses - low pay, long hours, and limited growth, and decided to change the game.
What began as a language training center in Delhi quickly expanded to Kerala and Bengaluru, bridging the gap between talent and global demand.
Lanstitut isn’t just about jobs, it’s about transforming careers. Their full-stack platform offers everything from language prep to skill development and job placements, making the transition seamless.
With a strong focus on Germany, where healthcare workers are in high demand, they’re opening doors for Indian professionals to work as registered nurses abroad.
📌 Global News
Apple and Google restore TikTok to app stores
Google Play restored TikTok to the U.S. app store after President Donald Trump delayed a ban with an executive order.
Apple followed suit later that evening.
The ban, signed into law by then-President Joe Biden, required ByteDance to sell TikTok within 270 days or face removal due to national security concerns.
Trump, after taking office, extended the deadline by 75 days, citing national security and user impact. He later stated, “I have the right to either sell it or close it,” adding that he changed his stance after using the app.
OpenAI claims it does not 'steal' content from India
The company has denied allegations of "stealing" content from Indian media outlets to train ChatGPT, arguing that its use of publicly available data does not require special licensing.
Major Indian publishers, including NDTV, Network18, and the Indian Express, seek to join a lawsuit claiming OpenAI exploits their content without permission or payment.
The dispute began when ANI sued OpenAI last year.
OpenAI, in a Feb. 11 filing, refuted these claims, citing "fair use" and industry norms, while Indian publishers argue they have not received licensing deals like some global media.
